17 Feb Peter Rogerson – Our New Appointment

Wot a Pullet were delighted to appoint Peter Rogerson as National Sales Manager in August 2021.

Peter joined Wot a Pullet from Joice and Hill, the UK distributor for Hendrix Genetic Layer Breeds in the UK, where he was part of the technical sales team for 6 years.

Speaking about his new role, Peter, who took up the post in August, commented: “This an exciting new opportunity and challenge, which I feel is something I would like to take on at this stage in my working life.”

Peter, who lives in Morpeth, has a reputation for personal service and excellent technical advice.

He has been involved with poultry in the North East for over 30 years and holds a National Certificate in Poultry Husbandry, gained at the West of Scotland Agricultural College in 1982 and has extensive experience gained from running his own layer production, packing and marketing business.

Peter said: “I enjoy the technical and support side of my role and it is very rewarding to see new ideas come into the sector and to help new producers gain from my experience. Many of the new entrants into the layer sector are free range but we also look after the colony customers who value the input I can give.

“Seeing a healthy flock reward a producer with high egg numbers of first quality eggs gives me great job satisfaction.”
